Henningsvær, Lofoten, on a morning cold enough to make the coffee philosophical. The drying racks stood along the shore like empty theatres, waiting for the season’s performance. A fisherman in a wool cap was mending a net with the patience of a man who has never once been early for anything.

The cod, he told me, built this country. Cathedrals, kingdoms, a thousand years of trade — all of it carried south on the back of one unglamorous fish. He said this without looking up. In Lofoten, this is not folklore; it is accounting.

This shirt is our tribute to the fish that outworked the Vikings. Garment-dyed, heavyweight, cut loose enough for rowing, hiking, or standing on a ferry deck pretending you understand the tides. It dries faster than stockfish and asks for far less vinegar.
