Somewhere past Ullapool the temperature drops without asking. The kettle has not boiled, the windows have gone silver, and the only sensible plan is another layer between you and the morning.
This is that layer. A full-zip hoodie cut for people who dress in the dark and expect their clothes to keep up: heavyweight cotton washed enough times to lose its stiffness, a hood that actually shelters, a zip that runs true from hem to chin. It wears in rather than out. Pull it on over pyjamas at a car park in Caithness, or over a shirt when the pub turns out colder than the road. It will not make the coffee. It will make the wait bearable.
