Our setup: the Jackery 1000 Pro charges from two 200W flexible solar panels on the van roof, and also from the van’s alternator via a B2B charger when we are driving. On a good solar day in Portugal or Turkey, the unit is fully charged by noon. On a grey November day in Scotland, we get perhaps 200Wh from the panels. The alternator input covers the deficit on driving days.
In fifteen months of daily use we have powered: two laptops, two phones, a camera charging system, a portable projector, a small kettle (occasionally), the van’s interior LED lighting, and — in an emergency when the van’s heating system failed in the Scottish winter — an electric blanket. The unit handled all of this without complaint.
